Putting a Plan in Place
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, located in the heart of Cajun culture, believes in “joie de vivre”—living life fully, deeply. In turn, they wanted to find students who would use their education to do more than simply earn a living.
To find those students, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette graduate school came to us with a mission of increasing awareness and enrollment for their master’s and doctoral programs. Together, we set off to spread the word through the power of compelling content.
Based on keyword and topic research, we provided content recommendations for their graduate school blog and program-level blogs. Up&Up and UL at Lafayette writers both contributed to the content execution. We used these posts as useful content around keywords that prospective students search for.
It wasn’t all information though, we brought out UL at Lafayette’s personality through with visual elements like GIFs and memes into the blog posts.
Search Engine Optimization
We implemented traditional SEO best practices to increase UL at Lafayette’s keyword rankings in key areas and boost the reach of the blog posts. We provided recommendations for on-site optimization for their graduate school site and target program sites.
The further you can spread your content, the better. We helped the graduate school launch social presences on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn and built a social media strategy for them to deploy, using the blogs as posts across the channels.
